In Orchard Knob Park,
near the foot of Missionary Ridge,
One can with a little imagination
cross the span of time's bridge.
The Knob had been captured
by the Union Troops just prior,
To the Battle of Missionary Ridge,
in that great Civil War.
General Grant held his headquarters here,
for this battle in Tennessee.
From this high point,
Missionary Ridge he could see.
